The original idea for the HK series was to build a terrific 7' H offshore rod at a fair price. The original HK Spinning Rod accomplished that but several years later it was time to take things to another level. The second generation of the HK reinforces what Dark Matter is all about - Performance, Style and Value. The blank gets a major upgrade to F2000 carbon that is lighter in weight, feels better in your hand and delivers the action and performance we are looking for. Modeled after customized 70's muscle cars, we coated them in a gorgeous coat of black cherry pearl metallic paint that is unmistakenly Dark Matter. The grips have been upgraded to a higher grade EVA and have been reshaped for extra comfort. All models now have a Fuji DPSM Graphite Reel Seat with a locking ring to accommoda.
